About us
Salt Design Construct is a family-owned residential construction company based in southern Adelaide. We're a small team of carpenter/builders that work with a trusted group of subcontractors to take on a variety of residential construction projects — specifically custom built new homes, extensions and renovations.
We'll handle the design, planning and construction process from initial consultation through to handover. We care about the details, aim to finish every project on budget and on time.

What we do
Whether it's a new home, an extension, or a renovation, we have the required skill set to complete your project to the highest standard — prioritising attention to detail and aiming for a timely finish within budget.
For clients in the early stages, we consult closely to understand exactly what you want, then develop basic concept design drawings for estimation — so you have a clear picture before committing.
Once a concept is finalised, we draft all required plans for council planning approvals in-house for standard builds, or work with draftsmen and architects for more complex projects. We handle the full planning process through to construction-ready.

How we work
We've refined our process to ensure clarity and satisfaction at every stage. Open communication and integrity throughout — that's our commitment.
After first contact, we'll email a questionnaire to understand your needs, requirements and the type of work involved.
After reviewing your questionnaire, we'll arrange an initial consultation for qualifying clients. If you have ready-prepared plans, we'll provide a complimentary estimate.
If no plans exist, we'll provide a fee for the concept design process before commencing. From there, we'll provide a complimentary budget estimate, before moving forward with the formal quotation process.
On acceptance of the quote, we enter a preliminary building agreement and work closely through selections and design to finalise plans and a builder's schedule.
With finalised plans and a fixed price contract signed, we begin detailed planning and preparation for construction — and get to work.
